Buenavista

Makeshift stove, built to cook with charcoal or wood when the power is out.

Pastors: Omar & Zenia

In Buenavista, the project focuses on the distribution of medicines, medical supplies, food, transportation to hospital and payment of electricity for the elderly and the disabled. The project also funds transportation to bring locals who live in rural areas to the church itself, uniting them as a community.

Right now, the biggest challenge they’re facing as a family and in ministry is the lack of electricity. Without it:

• They have to cook with charcoal and firewood when they cannot obtain charcoal.

• Food spoils quickly in the heat. Refrigeration is not possible because electricity is not on long enough to cool the refrigerator.

• It’s too hot to sleep indoors, so they end up outside—dealing with mosquitoes and safety concerns.

• They can’t hold church services at night, and during the day they have no fans or sound equipment.

• They can’t pump water, flush the toilets, or wash clothes without power.

Generators help a little, but fuel is too expensive and hard to find. We believe solar panel system would be the best solution.”

A solar energy system of 5,000 watts will provide the electricity they need. Be a part of bringing energy for life.
